The Parks & Recreation Director is responsible for the development, operation, and overall management of the City’s comprehensive recreation program which includes planning and oversight of outdoor recreational programs and activities, development of the trail system, and management of the RV park. This position coordinates with other community organizations to ensure maintenance and upkeep of Pikeville’s parks, trails, recreation facilities, city grounds, and public open spaces. The Parks & Recreation Director must function with a high degree of independence and utilize sound professional judgement, demonstrate planning and organizational skills, and establish priorities and community programs.
