.NET Developer

This is not a remote position.

Responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web application systems.

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Software Development Manager. This is sedentary to light work that requires limited physical effort; position requires visual acuity for preparing, reviewing, checking and maintaining written and computer files and records; requires hearing sufficient to accurately perceive information at normal spoken word levels, the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and manual dexterity to operate standard office, data entry and word processing equipment.

  • Designs, develops, and maintains custom database driven web and mobile software systems, including design and development of relational databases, user interfaces, and reports.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains public facing websites, Intranet, and related content management systems.
  • Updates, modifies, and supports web-based registration and tracking systems as needed for recurring KLC events.
  • Creates custom reports including writing database queries.
  • May be required to perform limited database administration tasks.
  • Ensures security and integrity of company databases and websites.
  • Trains end users on use of systems as needed.
  • Works with KLC membership as necessary to facilitate access to online information pertinent to their respective organizations.
  • Provides expertise and recommendations regarding new or proposed development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.
  • Document all programming tasks and procedures.
  • Assist team members with troubleshooting complex problems.
  • Invest time in the ongoing development of skills through self-study or training classes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Two to three years of experience in C# ASP.NET MVC. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Position requires experience with MS SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases. Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standard is required. Deadline and detail oriented. Proven ability to work as part of a close-knit team using Agile development tools for tracking progress, issues, etc. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Education and Experience:  Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in an IT-related field with at least three years of C# MVC and relational database experience.

Special Requirements:  Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
