Do you experience push-back and/or disagreements by citizens when you propose a plan to boost community and economic development? Are you looking for effective ways to communicate the needs of aging infrastructure to your citizens? Are you concerned that your city has lost faith in its leadership? This workshop will focus on the unforeseen challenges of being an elected official or community leader. With discussion and practical exercises geared towards enhancing communication and presentation skills, you should leave this class with a greater understanding of how to build a coalition in your community; how to foster support from your citizens; and how to lead in the face of adversity.
