Grants for Public Libraries and Bookmobiles – Due Sept. 1

Grants are available to purchase books for mobile lending libraries serving underrepresented children. Nonprofit organizations, public schools, and libraries can receive up to $3,000 to buy fiction and nonfiction books geared for children from preschool through 8th grade.

Organizations serving economically or socially at-risk children, have limited book budgets, and demonstrate need will receive grants.

The Lois Lenski Covey Foundation (LLCF) grants organizations that operate a lending bookmobile that travels into neighborhoods populated by underserved youth. The books will be available for checkout by young people for pleasure reading or as a source of information for a school assignment.

The LLCF bookmobile grant program funds early reader books through young adult and hi-lo books.
