Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities (LG&E/KU) offer grants of up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations and local government agencies for tree planting initiatives. Funding is intended for projects in urban and non-urban parks, parkways, forests, and highways. Applicants must be located in the service areas of LG&E and KU.
LG&E and KU offer one-year grants. Applicants must demonstrate that mature trees resulting from their efforts will not interfere with utility lines.
