Litter abatement grants are funded by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) Road Fund and Highway Contingency Fund. The money has helped state and local governments clean up nearly 3.3 million miles of roads since 2003.
Applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022. The Energy and Environment Cabinet’s Division of Waste Management will determine funding available for each city after that date. Cities must submit the original signed agreement with supporting documentation for the request to be considered complete.
