The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) has excess funding available from projects that were withdrawn, came in under-budget, or other in the “Population less than 5,000” category. There is also a very limited amount available for the “5,001 – 200,000” category. For this reason, the TAP program is opening a short application cycle.
This funding is for cities with less than 5,000 in population. Projects must be shovel-ready, have all federal design and parameter approvals and have a state clearing house number.
Projects cannot be related to maintenance or recreation. Local Public Agencies (LPAs) that were denied in the past, may want to update or revise a previous application and resubmit. Others may have been approved for a section of a project and are close to being ready for the next.
Applications will be accepted through 4:30 EST on Friday, May 3, 2019.
