A recent KLC survey revealed that Kentucky cities are facing an $85 million budget shortfall in the last few months of this fiscal year and a $180 million deficit in FY 2021 due to COVID-19. Local economies have been significantly impacted along with a decline in anticipated tax revenues leaving many cities looking for ways to access additional capital in the coming months.
