Open Records and Open Meetings Guidance Updated
Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron recently updated the publication Your Duty Under the Law under the title A Guide for the Public and Public Agencies. This publication contains an overview of the requirements for public agencies under the Open Records and Open Meetings Acts. It contains a new section that explains how Senate Bill 150 temporarily amends the Open Records and Open Meetings Acts during a state of emergency to allow public agencies to continue operations.
Sample forms have been updated, and several new forms added, to assist public agencies in drafting responses to open records and open meetings complaints. The full document is attached here.
