ASSISTANT WATER/SEWER SUPERINTENDENT

The City of Eddyville, KY is seeking an Assistant Water/Sewer Superintendent. This is a working position.

The qualified candidate must possess, or be able to obtain, the following:

• Water Treatment Operator Class III License, Drinking Water Distribution Class II License, Waste Water Treatment Class II License, Waste Water Collection Class II License.
• The candidate will be required to open and shut down Water Plant and maintain all equipment, processes, and facilities; operate Sewer Plant and maintain all equipment, processes, and facilities.
• Candidate must be computer literate and able to file all applicable reports.
• Candidate must also be able to perform Water Distribution tasks including, but not limited to, meter reading, meter taps, road bores, flush hydrants, leak detection, and other related duties. Also, the candidate must be able to maintain 9 sewer lift stations, sewer lines, make sewer taps, locate sewer blockages, and other related duties. Must be able to operate the following equipment: backhoe, sewer cleaning machine, dump truck (non-CDL), air compressor, utility and chain saws, welder, cutting torch, jack hammer, sand blaster, road borer, trash pump, bush hog, mower, weed eater, and be able to maintain the equipment.
