POSITION SUMMARY: Danville is currently hiring for non-certified Police Officers to provide police services to a community of 17,000 citizens. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire and willingness to learn policing services and obtain their state certification with the goal of making a strong commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of the community they serve.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass the state required mental and physical assessments as required by the Department of Criminal Justice Training.
• Must be 21yrs old by the start of their scheduled police academy date.
