The Food and Beverage Director performs complex administrative work planning, implementing, and supervising all food service operations and activities of the East Kentucky Expo Corp (catering, banquet, and concession events), managing contracts, receiving and processing payments, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the General Manager. Divisional supervision is exercised over all personnel within the division. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, speaking, hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and tasting or smelling, frequently requires reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and repetitive motions and occasionally requires climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word levels; requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, using of measuring devices, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surrounding and activities; frequently requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally requires working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles and exposure to extreme cold 9 non-weather); generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
