This webinar focuses on the effects of cold stress (low environmental temperatures) on human performance and the physiological responses aimed at maintaining a constant core body temperature. The discussion will include the mechanisms of heat transfer from the body to the environment and the means to limit the transfer to keep body temperatures stable. The discussion will also focus on what happens during a decrease in body temperature and cold injuries and how to combat those injuries. This information will help develop strategies to help keep workers and the general population safe during the cold season.
