Specialized Legal Training

The Municipal Law Department trains cities at several of KLC’s annual conferences and webinars. The department also provides specialized in-person training on a contract basis in areas such as procurement, open records, open meetings, planning and zoning, harassment, drug- and alcohol-free workplaces, and employment-related areas.

City Governance 101 is a municipal law crash course where KLC attorneys come to your city to train elected officials on a comprehensive overview of the city’s form of government, statutory roles of city officials, open meetings, municipal liability, ethics, and personnel.
