Kentucky’s local government leaders will converge in Somerset March 5-7 for the 2025 KLC Insurance Risk & Safety Conference, the state’s premier event for addressing the challenges of safety compliance and risk management in municipalities. This event at The Center for Rural Development is tailored to city officials, municipal employees, and others dedicated to creating safer communities.
“Local governments face unique challenges when it comes to managing risk and ensuring workplace safety,” said KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney. “This conference provides the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to meet those challenges head-on.”
The conference opens with an inspiring keynote address by Kina Hart, a nationally renowned safety advocate whose personal story has captivated audiences nationwide. After surviving a workplace tragedy involving a conveyor belt, Hart dedicates her life to emphasizing the human cost of neglecting workplace safety. Her message is a timely reminder of why safety matters at every level of municipal operations.
