A clean work area is essential for job safety. A closet in the workplace is often stocked with cleaning products, and similar products are typically stored under the sinks in our homes. These products can help maintain cleanliness but can be dangerous and even deadly when mixed.
“Combining cleaners, especially when bleach is part of the mixture, can be toxic,” Kentucky League of Cities Director of Loss Control Aaron Parrish said. “Always be especially careful with bleach. Mixing it with other chemicals can create a highly toxic chlorine gas and cause severe respiratory damage and even death.”
