The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) provides City Official Orientation every other year after local elections, but cities and municipal agencies constantly add new employees and sometimes add officials. KLC now offers KLC 101 sessions anytime to help employees and officials get the most out of their membership. The sessions include a basic overview of services, a tour of the KLC website, a review of publications, grants, and other important resources, and an explanation of “who does what” at KLC. There is also time for informal Q&A.
The interactive sessions can be done anytime, virtually or in person, for one employee or an entire department or staff. KLC 101 can also be presented as part of a commission, council, or board meeting or work session. If you have new or long-time employees or officials who need to know more about how KLC serves cities, reach out to schedule a KLC 101 session. All sessions are free and approved for one hour of training credit through the KLC City Officials Training Center.
