Job Type: Regular, full-time position

FLSA Classification: Exempt position

Salary: Starting wage is $18.00/hour but negotiable with experience

Required license or certification: Valid driver’s license

The Outdoor Recreation and Events Coordinator assists Directors of Events and Tourism, other designated groups, organizations, or entities designated by the City Manager in coordinating all activities, tourism attractions and/or events organized, sponsored, or assisted by the City. These duties include the planning, organizing and controlling of said attractions and/or events within the City to meet contractual obligations and quality customer service standards. The position is also responsible for development and operation of outdoor recreation opportunities in compliance with the 2021 Comprehensive Plan. Shall oversee or assist in the oversight of special projects as assigned. Must be a citizen of the United States or authorized to work in the United States. Working Conditions: This position requires physical activity and will work in both indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels. Will be assigned an irregular work schedule including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
