The City of Mount Olivet is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to serve as the police chief of the City of Mount Olivet in what will initially be a single member police department but which may grow to include additional members over time. The successful applicant must be looking to be an active participant in the re-establishment and potential growth of the Mount Olivet Police Department. Mount Olivet, Kentucky, is a very small city where citizens value law enforcement. This position is for candidates with POPS certification/lateral applicants with adequate experience ONLY! Minimum starting pay is expected to range: $22.00-$26.00 per hour/hour, depending on experience, plus applicable KLEFPF. Applications will be accepted until 5:00pm on Dec. 16, 2024. Prior to applying, be advised that candidates may be required to complete all phases of the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) testing, which may include a physical agility test.
