The purpose of this classification is to plan, schedule, direct, and implement a year-round, city-wide parks and recreation program, and to direct the maintenance and operation of all city parks and cemeteries. Bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, recreation, physical education, or closely related field; supplemented by six years managerial experience and/or training that includes public administration, community parks and recreation operations, or related work; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
