Women's Lunchtime Series: Work/Life/Community Synergy (Life Balance)

Friday, April 21, 2023
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EDT
Zoom

Is there really ever work-life-community “balance,” or is it more about your choices? Do you find yourself responding to emails on a Saturday or Sunday after swearing off doing it for the weekend or wishing there was just one more day in the week so that you could feel prepared for responsibilities and spend time with family or friends?

Lack of balance is an increasing concern for many women, including those who work in positions serving members of their community. Join us in the final session of our Women’s Lunchtime Series as we discuss balance and how to successfully manage both work and a personal life at the same time.

This session will:

  • explore the lack of work/life/community balance that so many women are currently experiencing,
  • clarify what feels out of balance in your own life, and
  • learn how to experience satisfaction with the amount of time you spend in your different roles.

The facilitator will be Janelle McNeal, Ph.D. of True North Counseling & Development[JM1] . Dr. McNeal specializes in helping high-achieving entrepreneurial and professional women successfully navigate this issue and other topics in the KLC Women’s Lunchtime Series. You will leave with new tools and the support and solidarity of your KLC and city official colleagues.

Credit: Participants receive one hour of KLC City Officials Training Center (COTC) credit and/or House Bill 119 credit.
