The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) makes planning and local technical assistance investments to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas of the United States.
EDA also makes short-term and state planning awards for economic development planning activities that guide the creation and retention of high-quality jobs, particularly for the unemployed and underemployed in the most economically distressed regions.
Under the Local Technical Assistance program, EDA awards funds to strengthen the capacity of local or state organizations, institutions of higher education, and other eligible entities to undertake and promote effective economic development programs through projects including feasibility studies, impact analyses, disaster resiliency plans, and project planning.
All projects considered for EDA funding under this NOFO must be consistent with at least one of EDA’s investment priorities.
EDA’s website will be updated on Jan. 15, April 15, June 15, or Sept. 15 of each year if there are revisions to these priorities.
