Kentucky emergency managers can apply for FEMA’s 2024 Vanguard Executive Crisis Leaders Fellowship. The program is for executive-level leaders. It provides two-week engagements to collaborate on new and emerging challenges facing crisis leaders.
Participants will meet with emergency management experts and others to hear their crisis management leadership stories and lessons learned. They will also discuss the challenges ahead for emergency management professionals.
The fellowship launched in 2022. The upcoming class will be the program’s sixth overall. Participants form a lasting, meaningful network and create bonds with alumni to serve as resources as they face evolving challenges.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The deadline for the 2024 cohort is Dec. 15, 2023. The program takes a hybrid approach to ensure diversity and accepts applications from interested individuals, alumni recommendations, and direct recruitment of proven crisis leaders.
