The Kentucky Animal Control Advisory Board is seeking a city representative interested in becoming a member.
Duties of the board include:
• Evaluating applications for and reviewing disbursements from the Animal Control and Care Fund
• Creating training programs
• Other duties related to animal control and care in the commonwealth
The 12-member board includes two members selected from a list of three submitted by the Kentucky League of Cities and appointed by the governor. Terms are four years each. Compensation is $100 per day for attendance at meetings and expenses. Meetings are held quarterly or upon the chair's call.
