In-kind grants of ballistic vests to USA individual law enforcement officers for protection in dangerous environments. Funding is intended to protect sworn peace officers by providing donated ballistic vests to officers that need them. Types of funded vests include external-types and concealed-style vests. Payment for shipping of the vest must be covered by the recipient.
Sworn peace officers and reserve officers who have been given arrest powers by their state are eligible to receive a vest.Vests are issued only to individual peace officers. An agency can apply for vests but it must complete the application process for each officer that needs a vest.
Pre-Application Information:
Vests could arrive within one week or they could take several months, depending on the supply of vests.
