Several cities voted to allow the sale of alcohol in the November election. KLC has been assisting many of these cities in preparing for the sale by drafting local ordinances.
With this in mind, KLC is mindful that trying to stay up to date on Kentucky's alcohol statutes and regulations is a pretty daunting challenge given the changes in the law from one legislative session to the next. This is the second edition of the Kentucky League of Cities Municipal Law Department's compendium of current effective statutes and regulations governing alcohol with the goal of having a snapshot of the laws of Kentucky as they exist prior to the 2021 legislative session.
The advantage of having this guide as a pdf is that it is word searchable. So, if an issue comes up in your community - hopefully you can just use the key-word search to locate the portions of the Kentucky statutory law and regulations that will apply.
Should that fail, or if you have any questions at all on any matter of municipal law, please feel free to contact the Kentucky League of Cities Department of Municipal Law at 800.876.4552.
