Important Update: The U.S. Department of Treasury pushed back the deadline for cities to file their first project and expenditure report. While cities were originally required to file their first report on October 31, Treasury now says those reports are not due until January 31 for entitlement communities (Ashland, Bowling Green, Covington, Elizabethtown, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Lexington, Louisville, and Owensboro) and April 30 for all other Kentucky cities. Read more on the change here.
Kentucky cities can receive a combined $931 million over the next two years through the State and Local Fiscal Relief Recovery Fund, which is part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) signed by President Biden in March.
The Kentucky League of Cities is providing information as soon as we receive it on the allocation process and other pertinent city material.
