The work of this class involves responsibility for the protection of life and property, prevention and investigation of crime, apprehension of criminals, and the general enforcement of laws and ordinances or an assigned shift or special assignment. Normal duties consist of patrol, preliminary investigation, and traffic regulation. The employee must be able to take initiative, be assertive, act without direct supervision, and exercise independent judgement in meeting emergencies. Assignments may include work that requires specialized knowledge. As a police officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing the law within our community.

Salary Information: $18.00 - $24.60 PER HOUR
