Have you ever heard, “Work is not the place for emotions?” With so much time spent at work, it is a place where emotions, personal life events, and ideas are inevitably part of your identity. Women are sometimes labeled aggressive instead of assertive, dramatic instead of authoritative, and emotional instead of passionate. Regardless of your role with the city, this workshop will help participants think about ways to communicate with authority, remain true to their values, and protect their self-esteem for more enjoyable daily interactions in all relationships.
The facilitator will be Janelle McNeal, Ph.D., of True North Counseling & Development. Dr. McNeal specializes in helping high-achieving entrepreneurial and professional women successfully navigate this issue and other topics in the KLC Women’s Lunchtime Series. You will leave with new tools and the support and solidarity of your KLC and city official colleagues.
