First-Ever Women in City Government Summit Coming in March

On March 16-17, 2022, the Kentucky League of Cities will hold its first-ever Women in City Government Summit. The Summit kicks off Wednesday evening with a reception at Fasig-Tipton, a world-famous and iconic horse country venue in Lexington. The evening will include:

  • Entertainment by singer/songwriter Beth Burden;
  • A painting exhibition by artist Donna Lindon;
  • A display of products by GreenHouse 17; and
  • Story-telling by our special guest speaker, Ouita Michel.

You will not want to miss this special evening surrounded by friends and colleagues!

On Thursday, the stage is set for you to hear from a powerful lineup of trailblazing speakers on topics important to you, including modern leadership, adversity, finding balance, relationships, self-care, and much more. The day will kick off with Mayfield Mayor Kathy O’Nan sharing her experiences and the lessons she learned in the aftermath of the devastating tornadoes that swept through her city and other parts of western Kentucky.

The Summit will conclude with a powerful lesson in balancing priorities and learning to say yes to yourself. The day will also provide an opportunity for you to share your own experiences and connect with your colleagues and the Kentucky League of Cities staff.
