State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) – Due May 31

Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS) grants to Kentucky city and county governments, public school districts, area development districts, and local taxing districts to improve security and preparedness against terrorism. Funding is intended to support the acquisition of communications equipment, infrastructure protection, first responder equipment, and cybersecurity software and equipment.

DHS/FEMA has identified the following National Priority Areas and Enduring Security Needs:

  1. Combating Domestic Violent Extremism
  2. Enhancing Cybersecurity
  3. Enhancing Protection of Soft Targets/Crowded Places
  4. Enhancing Community Preparedness & Resilience (New)
  5. Enhancing Election Security (New)

  1. Communications and Emergency Medical Equipment
  2. Exercises and Training
