KLC Launches New Surplus Property Page

Make the KLC Surplus Page Your First Stop to Post or Obtain Surplus Property!

After the disastrous tornadoes and flooding in recent history, Kentucky cities rose to the occasion to help each other with donations of vehicles, equipment, boats, computers, and much more.

While we hope communities never again face those types of severe events, cities constantly need to surplus property, and many cities may be interested in receiving or purchasing it.

Cities and municipal agencies can now post surplus property for sale or donation on the KLC website.

The simple process provides cities with an easy way to surplus and obtain items.

  • Follow proper procedures for surplus property pursuant to KRS 82.083.*
  • Post surplus property on the KLC site
  • Interested cities contact the city directly for information on the property being sold or donated.

Cities and municipal agencies are encouraged to visit the KLC website first when looking for vehicles and other items. The service is free to all involved and is another user-friendly and valuable service for members.

For more information on the service, contact KLC Member Relations Manager Terri Johnson or Member and Business Development Director Jeri McCullough.
