Better Cities for Pets Program – Due Aug. 16

Mars Petcare Civic Design Center offers grants to municipalities for projects and programs to improve the quality of life for pets. The purpose of the program is to support programs to keep pets and people together. Proposals are accepted in one or all of the following categories: businesses, shelters, homes, and parks.

In 2024, Mars Petcare is offering grants through its Better Cities for Pets™ program to help cities initiate or expand innovative programs that keep people and pets together and make their city more welcoming to pets. Applicants will apply for one of the four funding categories below to support either new or existing programs helping to keep people and pets together and making their city more welcoming to pets.

Shelters – Programs proposed budget is at minimum 60% designated toward support for public and/or private shelter-based programs.

Homes – Program proposed budget is at minimum 60% to be designated toward support for pet ownership-focused community-based programs.

Parks – Programs proposed budget is at minimum 60% designated toward programmatic public space-based programs.

Businesses – Programs proposed budget is at minimum 60% designated toward public and/or private business-focused programs.
