KLC Hazard Alert: Heat Awareness
KLC Loss Control issued a Hazard Alert to warn KLC members about the dangers of heat exposure. Anyone who works or spends any time outdoors must protect against heat-related illnesses, such as stroke, exhaustion, syncope, cramps, and rash.
The new alert lists warning signs, treatment options, and preventative measures cities and their employees should look out for. KLC encourages our members to download, print, and review the document to ensure they are current on vital safety requirements and response measures. It is also critical that employees who work outdoors know about the dangers and ways to stay healthy and safe throughout the summer months.
