SLFRF Funds Deadline is Dec. 31, 2024

The National League of Cities and the National Association of Counties have created an informational webinar for recipients of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program money.

The money must be obligated to projects before Dec. 31, 2024. An obligation means that recipients have placed an order for property and/or services and entered into contracts, sub-awards, and similar transactions that require payment. Recipients must spend the SLFRF money by Dec. 31, 2026, although some projects have an earlier deadline.

The SLFRF program was authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which allocated $350 billion for governments to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States Department of The Treasury has disbursed 99.99% of the funds to more than 30,000 recipients.
