It's time to submit your community's nomination for the 2025 KLC Awards. The annual recognition honors the exceptional work cities, their dedicated leaders, and their employees do daily. Nominations are open for an Elected City Official of the Year, City Employee of the Year, and City Government of the Year.
The award recognizes a dynamic elected official who demonstrates outstanding leadership and innovation in their city. Nominees must be elected officials from a KLC member city.
The award honors an exceptional city employee who goes above and beyond to improve local government and the community. Nominees must be nonelected full-time employees of Kentucky cities who are KLC members.
The award celebrates a city that has achieved transformational accomplishments. Open to cities of all sizes, an independent panel judges each entry, evaluating governance quality and overall impact.
In addition to the annual awards, nominations are also open for the Mayor Ann C. Deatherage LEAD Award. This award honors Kentucky mayors who exhibit a passion for local public service and a commitment to lifelong learning. KLC and Mayor Deatherage's family established the award in her memory. Deatherage was a devoted public servant who served as a council member and Carrollton mayor.
KLC will recognize all winners at the 2025 KLC Conference & Expo in Owensboro Sept. 23-26.
