Online Forum for Mayors, Councilmembers and Commissioners

Cities Helping Cities Elected Officials Forum - Sharing ideas and Working Through Challenges. 

Elected city officials are invited to share ideas and discuss challenges with the Cities Helping Cities Elected Officials Forum.

Provided as a service by the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC), this interactive online tool will give mayors, council members and commissioners the chance to discuss the good, the bad and the challenges leaders face. The forum is an ongoing way to ask general questions and discuss issues/ideas with other elected city officials.

The forum will be private. It will be accessible by current elected officials of KLC member cities. While no one at KLC will be involved in the discussions, the forum will be reviewed by a KLC staff person.

To sign up for the Cities Helping Cities Elected Officials Forum:

• Go to the top right corner of this page.
• If you have a KLC username and password, enter it after clicking “Access Your Online Account” at the top right corner of the web page.
• You will be presented with a login box and if you don't have an account, you will see a "request a new account" link below it. Complete the information.
• A KLC staff person will notify your city’s site administrator (usually the city clerk).
• Your administrator will receive your username and temporary password and forward it to you.
• After logging in, you will see an “Elected Officials Forum” link in the bottom right section of your dashboard under Member Resources.

Setting Up Your Profile

Once you get on the forum, you can set up your profile. 

• Go to Profile and set up your profile information.
• If you would be like be notified when a new message posts on the thread, go to “Edit Profile” on the right side of the page. Go to “Notifications,” then see the top two Notification types (New Thread and New Post). Under the “Email” column, choose “Instant” for both of these notification types. You will receive an email whenever anyone posts on the forum. Here is a short video that may be helpful in setting up your notifications.
