City of Glasgow is seeking applicants for: Superintendent of Public Works The City of Glasgow is now accepting applications for the position of: Superintendent of Public Works. Supervises all Public Works Department Employees (Street, Landfill, Sanitation and Transit Departments); Engineer Certification or related field, minimum of three (3) years of experience engineering design or project management; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position. Supplemental education in engineering management/administration preferred. Requires knowledge and utilization of GIS and GPS.

Experience in general construction or maintenance work; Possess a valid driver’s license; Pass a physical examination; Safety-sensitive position is subject to passing a pre-employment drug screen test; Ability to keypunch and data entry functions; Working knowledge of the operation of a variety of heavy construction equipment, including bulldozer and refuse collection equipment; Working knowledge of preventive maintenance; Technical administrative and supervisory abilities; Ability to keep confidential information; Ability to prepare routine statements and reports; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, employees and the general public, etc. See job description for complete qualification requirements.
