2021 Legislative Session Updates

Join the Kentucky League of Cities for a discussion and update on the 2021 Regular Session of the General Assembly and legislation that impacts cities. This is an odd-year session, meaning it can only last 30 days and must adjourn by March 30. KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney and Director of Public Affairs Bryanna L. Carroll will give you the latest information on bills legislators filed this session and review where key KLC initiatives currently stand in the process. You will also find out how you can help advocate for legislation that would improve your community.

These updates will include valuable insight into legislative procedures and statutes that affect local governments. We encourage you to register for and attend each session as the information will frequently change as the session progresses.

Sessions will be conducted at the following times:

  • February 19 - 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. EST
  • March 5 - 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. EST
  • March 22 - 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. EDT

Credit: 1 hour City Officials Training Center credit and/or Training Incentive Program (House Bill 119) credit for each session.
