Services

Kentucky cities provide a wealth of services that improve the quality of life for their citizens. In fact, many services provided by local government go unnoticed by residents because they have become an expected and engrained part of life. Although the types of services offered by each city vary with population, location, tax base, and other factors, many cities provide some of the following types of services:

Many services, such as police and fire protection, are mostly funded with general tax dollars. However, other services can have fees associated with their use.
